What is Basileia?
Basileia is the Greek word for Kingdom. Just as Jesus taught us to pray, “Your Kingdom come, Your will be done, on earth as it is in Heaven,” we seek to live in a way that reflects Jesus Christ and His kingdom here on earth.

.:We are a group of friends sharing life, faith and resource for the cause of Christ:.

So… what does that mean?
…Basileia is simply one expression of the Church. We’re a community of followers of Jesus Christ, with high value for participation in all spheres of community life.

…We gather regularly to celebrate and worship God and what He is doing in our lives. But a weekly meeting doesn’t define our church. Rather our relationships and daily interaction with those around us, as we share Christ, is what we believe creates the church body.

…We strive to profess faith in Christ in all that we say and do. Life, faith, and resource are not restricted to a certain group, race, or personality type. From the outcasts and overlooked in society, to the most wealthy and esteemed in our cities, all are welcomed and valued as equals.

…We are not church-goers, or social justice advocates, or religious people. We are worshipers of the one and only God, embracing the tension of the complexities of life and works in the real world, particularly in in Hollywood and L.A.
